Biography

Gennadiy Katsen was born in 1943 and studied in Odessa and Jerusalem. Since 2004 he has edited the popular science almanac »MORIJA« dedicated to the Jewish cultural heritage and contemporary Odessa culture. Since 2008, Katsen has coordinated events about the city’s Jewish culture. He participated in the founding and development of a club for Jewish culture, the first Jewish school in Odessa, and a Jewish public library.
