Lea-Lina Oppermann, born in 1998 in Berlin, attended a creative writing seminar at the University of Bonn during her secondary school years and initially wrote short prose and texts for her short films. In 2014, she was the winner of the CAMäleon Youth Film Prize of the Heinz-Sielmann Foundation. From 2016 to 2020, she studied speech arts in Stuttgart. Her first novel for young people, the psychological chamber play “Was wir dachten, was wir taten” (2017), is now part of school reading, has been adapted for the stage and has won many awards.
