Is there a national literature ? And if there is such a thing, is there also a European literature, and what might this look like ? And is there then something like a European identity ? The poet Tzveta Sofronieva is at home in five European languages and often translates her own poems. Ilma Rakusas is at home in Europe: she could speak three languages before she even had her own room.
